STRUCTURE

How will it work?

We have Four houses with 10 tutor groups. Each house is led by a Lead tutor:
  • Bronte House led by Mr F Roberts
  • Darwin House led by Mr M Hirons
  • Nightingale House led by Mr P White
  • Redgrave House led by Mr C Walker
The House would consist of about two hundred students from Years 9-13. Siblings would be in the same House but siblings would not usually be put in the same tutor group.
Each tutor group has approximately twenty students:
  • 5 - Year 9
  • 5 - Year 10
  • 5 - Year 11
  • 5- Year 12/13
Each tutor group meets for 20 minutes at 3.30 p.m. each day with their tutor and with the rest of their House for an assembly each week. Several times a year we will have an extended Tutor Time with specially planned activities to enhance the bonding of the group. There will also be occasions in the year when students meet in Year groups as necessary.

House Captains and reps are elected on an annual basis and represent their House in a number of ways as well as being role models for their House members.
