Children in Need On Friday 20 November we will be supporting Children in Need with a Pyjama Party. We hope all students (and staff) will support this by paying £1 to wear pyjamas for the day.

Sixth Form Options Evening This will be held on Thursday 12 November at 7pm. There will be an introductory talk followed by an opportunity to speak to subject specialists and the Headteacher.

False fears about cancer prevention injection Parents and girls should not panic about recent press rumours concerning the death of a teenager after she had been given the cervical cancer protection injection that all teenagers now have access to. There is no reason to think that the death was linked with this injection and causes any threat to teenagers generally and health authorities are encouraging us to continue with the process.

Simon de Montfort partnership starts strongly Our work leading and supporting Simon de Montfort has got off to a successful start with both sets of students enjoying a calm and productive learning environment.

Awards Evening 2009 Congratulations to all those students who received awards at our annual Awards Evening on 17 September and thanks to all parents, friends, community sponsors and staff who supported a lovely evening. Our guest speaker, Jenny Pacey, GB athlete and ‘Gladiator Enigma’ inspired us all!

Examination Success Many congratulations to all GCSE students who helped the school to some of its best results yet, maintaining the high standards set last year. Congratulations also to our A Level students and their success in achieving the grades to move them on to the next stage in their education as young adults.

Welcome Back A reminder that school started for staff today Thursday 3 September, for Years 9 & 12 on Friday 4 September and all year groups on Monday 7 September.

Art/ICT Block The refurbishment is complete, for all but a few tweaks, and we now have a more attractive building (in cream and blue!) with better windows and ventilation to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter and newly decorated inside.
